Eliphaz Gasasira

Eliphaz Gasasira is a seasoned insurance professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, alongside a strong academic background in Economics. Eliphaz is well-versed in insurance technicalities and business strategy, having earned various certifications, including in non-life technical reserve calculation and insurance technical training.

Since joining SONARWA in 1995, Eliphaz has held various leadership roles, ranging from Claims Manager to Underwriting Manager, where he currently oversees the implementation of underwriting strategies, risk assessments, and compliance processes to support business goals. He is dedicated to fostering a customer-centric culture and ensuring the company’s business remains profitable and aligned with regulatory standards.

His experience spans across claims management, motor underwriting, and branch coordination, where he has demonstrated a commitment to efficiency, risk management, and team development. Eliphaz also boasts a wealth of knowledge in tender management, claims supervision, and customer service excellence.

In addition to his professional roles, Eliphaz is a pastor in his personal life which adds an interesting layer to his profile, demonstrating his leadership and community-focused nature both professionally and spiritually. This dual role likely influences his approach to work and relationships, combining values of care, guidance, and support in his professional environment. Fluent in English, French, Swahili, and Kinyarwanda, he is a well-rounded professional who continuously seeks to contribute to the growth and development of his company and the industry
