Immaculee UWIMANA is an accomplished insurance professional with over 15 years of experience, currently serving as Chief Commercial in SONARWA General Insurance Ltd., where she leads strategic initiatives to drive business growth with
excellence. In her previous roles as Head of corporate, Senior Sales manager and Branch Manager in SONARWA GI, she
specialized in Marketing and Sales, developing key strategies that fueled business expansion. She also worked in COGEAR SA
currently, PRIME Insurance, as Underwriting manager in motor insurance and marketing agent, gaining a deep understanding of
both the commercial and technical aspects of the insurance industry while allowing her to build and a strong professional network
in the field.
Her experience extends beyond the insurance industry, including a consultancy role with the United Nations, where she
contributed to a large-scale of recruitment process for the outreach unit at the department of Field Support.
Immaculee UWIMANA holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Science, a Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health and
Human Services from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey (USA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Kigali
Independent University. Known for her client-focused approach and ability to implement innovative solutions, Immaculee

  • 1975: Founded and Pionnerd the Insurance Sector in Rwanda under the management of J.H. Minet (UK)
