Looking for transformational leaders

Our client, Sonarwa General Insurance Company Limited (Sonarwa General), is a short-term insurance service provider situated in Rwanda. The company has embarked on a transformational journey that seeks to grow the business. As a result, Sonarwa General is seeking to recruit highly competent and professional individuals to fill the following 13 positions which comprise of : Three Chief Officer Positions, nine Head of Department Positions and one Manager Position.

Chief Commercial Officer
To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant field ;
• Relevant professional qualification is an added advantage ;
and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience.

Chief Operations Officer
To be appointed for this role, the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant field ;
• Relevant Professional qualification is an added advantage ;
and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience.

Chief Finance and Administration Officer
To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant field ; and/or
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Chartered
Accountant (ACCA) qualification ; and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of underwriting, Head of Reinsurance and
Head of Claims Management

To be appointed for the Head Underwriting and Reinsurance
or Head of Claims Management roles, the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, while a Master’s
Degree is an added advantage.
• Professional qualification in Insurance ;-Diploma in Insurance
CII, or ACII is an added advantage ; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of Corporate Business and Head of Retail
Business

To be appointed for the Head of Corporate Business or Head of
Retail Business roles, the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, while a Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualification are added advantage ; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of Legal and Company Secretary
To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law ;
• Post Graduate Diploma in law, practice license is not necessary and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of Internal Audit and Head of Risk and
Compliance

To be appointed for the Head of Internal Audit or Head of Risk and Compliance roles, the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a
relevant field. Master’s Degree is an added advantage ;
• Certification as a Chartered Information System Auditor (CISA),Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant ( CPA) ; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of Human Resources
To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Human Resource, Business Management or any other relevant field. Masters is an added advantage ;

• A Higher Diploma qualification in Human Resource
Management, Business Administration, or its equivalent ; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Head of « ICT »
To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field ; while a Master’s Degree is an added advantage ;
• Relevant IT professional qualification ; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Manager, Actuarial and Strategy

To be appointed for this role the successful candidate must have :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science. Master’s Degree is an added advantage ;
• Actuarial professional qualification ; and
• Three (3) years’ relevant experience, advising management on Actuarial and Strategy.
